AKBC Korea Food and Beverage Export Market Report Preview
Australian food and beverage exports to Korea are growing rapidly – benefiting from formal and informal support of national trade bodies and politicians from both countries, according to Australian exporters and Korean importers in a new report by Australia- Korea Business Council.
Wine exports to Korea rose to $45.5m over 12 months to September 2021, up 81.5% from the previous year.
There is a big appetite for Australian food and beverage in The Republic of Korea (Korea) – wine, fruits, various meats and premium food products are poised to record remarkable export rises over the next few years.
This demand is also within the organic Sector. At this point in time, Australian Organic Producers have to recertify to the Korean Organic MAFRA standard to access this. However, with domestic regulation, watch this space!
